Fayre Play Secures Dragons’ Den Investment

Visitors to The Gate Newcastle have even more reason to visit Fayre Play, after the popular competitive socialising venue secured an investment offer on Dragons’ Den.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Craig and Kasia Neilson, Fayre Play combines nostalgic fairground games with food, drinks and prizes, creating a unique experience that has welcomed more than 300,000 visitors across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

During their appearance on the BBC programme, the founders impressed the Dragons with their vision and growth story, ultimately accepting an investment offer from Touker Suleyman.

Since opening at The Gate in 2025 as the brand's first venue outside Scotland, Fayre Play has become a popular destination for friends, families and corporate groups looking for a fun and competitive experience in the heart of Newcastle.

Speaking after the show, Craig described securing an offer from Touker as an "incredible moment" and a major validation of everything the team has built. Kasia added that the response from customers has been overwhelming and that the business remains focused on delivering unforgettable experiences.

With continued growth, exciting expansion plans and its busiest festive season yet ahead, the future looks bright for Fayre Play.
