OUR ENVIRONMENT

THE GATE IS PROUD TO BE SUPPORTING MOVING ON TYNE AND WEAR

The Gate works closely with Moving On Tyne and Wear as our chosen charity partner.

Moving On Tyne & Wear is led by Mental Health Concern, and is committed to helping people overcome the barriers that have prevented them from finding work or getting training previously. Through one-to-one support, their Navigators help people to build on their strengths and aspirations, using the skills and expertise of leading charity partners to support them as they take realistic and manageable steps towards stable employment.

We are pleased to welcome volunteers from MOTW to help us look after and maintain The Gatekeepers Garden project at Jacobins Chare here at The Gate. The GateKeepers Garden is a biodiverse pocket garden for all to enjoy, and with the help of MOTW, the garden will continue to flourish.

MOTW is an employability programme and is made up of charity, 3rd sector and voluntary organisations to support people in Tyne & Wear who are unemployed and suffering from a health barrier, disability, additional learning need or autism get into employment, training or volunteering. Further information about MOTW, their funders, the BBO programme and charity partners can be found at www.motw.org.uk or you can follow their activities on social media at:
